it takes, no holds bar, to claim them. Mark

I Constantly Thank God for all that
he has done and continue to do for me. He has yet
again brought me through another tragic incident that
could have turned out fatal. I owe every breath and inch
of my soul to him. To Glory Be The Most Highest.

Accidents do happen, but God determines the outcome.....

I am not showing these pics or telling my story for
sympathy, I REPEAT, I am not showing these pics or
telling my story for sympathy or to make you sad.
I just want to share with you the work and blessings
that God has done for me. I'm so grateful that I was
able to literally walk away from this near fatal accident
and to be typing to you today. Never lose faith on what
God can do, he's brought me through and will do the same
for you.

Last Sunday, February 8 at 1:42am, I was driving home from
a close friend's Birthday gathering in Long Island, New York. I
was on the Northern State passing exit 31 when a 19 year old
kid side swiped me from the right. The car spun out of control
and went head on into the divider. It then rolled over twice,
flipped up and landed upside down. Upon landing, it slid for
about 25ft still upside down. To be honest, I thought I was dead
on the impact but after the car stop sliding, I realize God said
"Not now, I'm not done with you yet." I do believe my
parents were looking down protecting me as I was tossed around,
holding and praying for me life. When I came to my senses I
unbuckled my seat belt and crawled out the window upside down.
Thank God for Seat Belts. In the hospital I learned that the 19yr
old kid suffers with Narcolepsy and may have fell asleep behind
the wheel. There's a lot more details but due to legal limitation,
I can't discuss upon. I'm just so blessed beyond your imagination
that I'M STILL HERE. At the moment I'm back home healing,
thinking and counting my blessings. Thanks to everyone who came
to the hospital, called, texted, emailed, visited my home, sent gifts
and flowers and most importantly Prayed for me. I am thankful for
you.

be the only one or very few with certain things I really
dig. There's something about having possession to things

from "I Want To Be The Only One With It" syndrome, then
you know what I mean.

The good folks over at Adidas never seize to amaze me.
On one of my usual walks in the big apple I started to feel
down so I figured I cheer myself up and buy some "CHICKS"
that would express how I was currently feeling. I walked into
TRAINING CAMP and said to myself, "Self, get out of this
store, you need to buy a new suitcase (my previous one has
seen better days) and to my surprise there were 4 suitcases
located in the back. I gazed at this bright red one but the price
tag read $350. "No way Jose". Then my eyes opened wide and
my mouth dropped, a custom-made Adidas Suitcase right before
me. It was love at 1st sight. I picked up the tag and it read $500.
(yea, I nearly past gas too). At this point the manager walks up to
me and says, "You like it, I'll give you a good price". I replied,
"No thank you, no price would do me justice if it was $500". As I'm
walking away, my back turned, the setting suddenly went into slow
motion. He slowing yelled out. "HOW ABOUT $29.99". I turned
around so fast my debit card came flying out my sleeve like I was a
ninja throwing star knives. To top it off he informed me that Adidas
only sent 2 Suitcases to his store. As I got home I went on a Google
frenzy trying to dig up anything I could on this freakishly Awesome
luggage. I started to lose hope until I stumbled on a site in
Wellington, New Zealand. It talked about the New Adidas
Concept store opening there in 2007. No pictures but they
mentioned the Custom-Made Suitcase. I wasn't satisfied with
that so I went into my trusty contacts folder and called up the
Adidas Corporate office. They ensured me of its rarity and
how lucky I was to pay what I paid. The Wooster store in SOHO
only got 4 suitcases and they sold out the 1st day. Long story short,
I'm a happy camper, literally, LOL

stop then you have witnessed and bopped your head to
the sounds of Mr. Larry Wright. I been
following Larry Wright and his family for at least 4yrs
now. The other day I watched him do his thing for
about 45 minutes and every time I'm more amazed
than the last. So I finally decided to do my research
and some investigating. Come to find out, ole Larry
Wright has been playing the "Buckets" since he was
5 yrs old. I even found a short documentary on him
that was filmed in 1990. And he's still at it 19 yrs
later. That makes Larry a "CERTIFIED LEGEND"

Hey, I tried

Now normally I wouldn't do this but what's a blog if I cant
keep it real. For the longest I've wanted some nice "CHICKS"
I could show off in the rain, sleet, hail or snow. But no one has
been able to feed my cravings. ALife came close but I hated
her skin complexion. So I said to myself, "Self, why don't you
make your own"

About 7 months ago I decided to use Marc Jacob Men's
Rain Boot as my inspiration and template.

Then I took out my trusty sewing kit that's filled with all types
of gadgets and sharp objects and cut the boots down to a more
versatile and masculine cut that went with "MY VISION". I also
used the buckle that was originally on the upper side as a strap to
give it that sneaker feel.

(sidebar: yes that is my wall in my apt)

Being that I'm my biggest critic, I just wasn't satisfied with the
outcome. I felt as if it was missing something. Like whats Tofu
without any type of sauce to go with it? So I went back to my
trusty sewing kit and made eyelets for laces. I just knew my
shit didn't stink then, LOL

I was set and happy with what I created and it served its purpose.
But to my surprise and not my intention, on a rainy day I decided
to make my daily visit to the Marc Jacob boutique. When I walked
in, one of the managers walked up to me and said "OH SHIT, I'VE
HEARD ABOUT THESE. WHERE DID YOU GET THOSE?" I replied,
"I made them". People in the store were breaking their necks,
employees were coming up from the stock room, security was trying
to keep everyone under control. Although I hate massive attention,
I must say it felt good.So long story short, the manager and I had
small talk and exchange info in the event that he would get me a
meeting with the Big Wigs over at The Marc Jacobs Corporate
office to show what I've done. He kept his end of the deal and its
a blessing that I am still very thankful for to this day. Nonetheless,
I felt I couldn't show them what I've made without showing what
I was capable of doing. So I went back to the drawing broad,
literally,and played with colors and design concepts just to
implement more ideas.

In the end, I was honored and grateful to have spoken with
and shared my vision with the Good Folk over in the Marc Jacobs
Corporate office. Everyone was really excited about the designs
and my passion for the brand itself. But they came up with the
decision that they weren't looking to change the current design
of their Original Rain Boot at the moment. I was still geeked to
even have my name mentioned in a creative design meeting.
It shows how far you can go if you believe and let determination
and will be your pilot. I am far from done and "This was only a test"

So Brain, what we'll we come up with next???

I would personally like to thank everyone associated at the Marc Jacobs Fashion
House. You have given me the boost and fuel to keep going at all my fashion goals.

height restriction (i.e. I'm 6'4 and almost nobody
makes 31 waist by 36 length, so I'm stuck with 32
and 34 length.) or you just like the way it feels, make
sure your shirt is at a decent length where its covering
your business. Maybe even tucking it in shown here in Exhibit A.

Tip For The Saggers: If something drops on the
floor or your shoelace is untied, just leave it be for. Save
us the sight of seeing your undergarments and private areas.

And as you all may know, in some places it is now a crime,
